When Dollywood opened for the season in March, Dolly Parton also announced a booking update for Dollywood’s second resort, Heartsong Lodge & Resort. For those who want to visit the new 302-room hotel, booking opens in June for stays beginning in November, and the hotel is accepting group bookings for meetings and events in 2024 and beyond. Family travelers should keep the property in mind for late 2023 and 2024 visits to the Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, theme park.
In the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, HeartSong Lodge & Resort will boast a four-story atrium lobby; a showstopping fireplace; guestrooms themed to the surrounding area’s flora and fauna; and views of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, 10 miles from the hotel. Public dining options will include a 195-seat signature restaurant and lounge, a 40-seat private dining room and grab-and-go dining at Songbird Market.
Dollywood visitors this year also anticipate the park’s newest roller coaster, Big Bear Mountain, slated to open in May. Dollywood’s largest single attraction investment ever at $25 million, the coaster will measure almost 4,000 feet, also marking it as the longest roller coaster at the park.
