With the dog days of summer officially underway, why not take family travel beyond crowded cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles and head to an equally fun California destination? Irvine, located in Orange County, California, is one of America’s greenest, cleanest and safest cities, allowing families to best enjoy Southern California without the hustle and bustle of the state’s larger cities.

Here’s what awaits in Irvine for families this summer:

For years, whenever I asked my children where they wanted to go next, the answer was always the same. “Take us to Japan,” they said. When we finally made it, I put a lot of thought into where to stay.

Icelandair’s Long Weekend Getaways Are a Great Way to Explore

Icelandair is well-known for its stopover program, which allows passengers to stay in Iceland for a few days at no extra charge. It’s a great way for families to see a new place and explore a new country on their way to and from Europe. When my family travels, we enjoy spending a couple days exploring Reykjavik and Iceland’s natural beauty as part of our trip. Iceland has become one of my family’s favorite destinations. We always find something new to do, no matter how many times we visit.
