Live up the last days of summer with a trip to The Lodge at Blue Sky in Park City, Utah. Embrace nature before the cold of winter sets in with various activities around the farm.
Kids of all ages can head to Gracie’s Farm to harvest root vegetables and leafy greens with FarmHer Lynsey. Each session includes an immersive farm experience of an abbreviated list of chores to enlighten participants on what it takes to tend to a working farm. Plant seeds, transplant vegetables, irrigate the soil and cultivate the area for the next crop. Guests can enjoy the fruits of their labor with a special fam-to-table lunch made with the ingredients they harvested.
“This season, we are looking forward to providing our guests with experiences that ignite artistic expression, curiosity about our regenerative farming techniques, western cowboy traditions, and seasonal wellness rituals.” Says Joe Ogdie, general manager, The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection
Preserve the last bit of summer by participating in a pickling and canning
class to learn how to store your end-of-summer garden vegetables for the winter. This two-hour class includes the use of spices from the farm. Guests are welcome to take home their pickled vegetables. Join an heirloom garlic gardening class to learn about the lifecycle of garlic. The year-end celebration ignites the beginning of a new crop as garlic requires a long winter underground to fully mature for the following summer harvest.
Fall activities at The Lodge at Blue Sky include Heli Yoga and Meditation, which includes a helicopter ride to the top of the high-alpine peak. Once on land, participants relieve stress through empowering sequences to reconnect with nature. Guests can test their fly-fishing skills with a private, riverfront experience for beginners and pros.
