While each Disney park offers something exciting for all ages, EPCOT is most known for its World Showcase and, for many adults, its “Drinking Around the World” experience. Although Disney does not sponsor that activity, it does offer an “Around the World” activity for kiddos.
Without actually leaving the country, your kids can get their passport stamped while visiting the different countries in EPCOT. Before you head into the World Showcase, stop by either Port of Entry or Disney Traders, located on both sides of the World Showcase entrance, to purchase a passport for the kids.
When you visit the different countries, look for a cast member and ask them to stamp the passport. One of the easiest spots to find a cast member are cash registers or designated Kidcot Fun Stops areas. Each country contains a Kidcot Fun Stop area and there is normally a cast member there to not only fill out your kids’ passports but also to provide any information or help when needed.
A fun thing about the cast members in the World Showcase is they are all natives of that country; the cast members are part of the Disney College Program and come to work at Walt Disney World for about a year. When you ask the cast member to fill out the passport, ask them to write something in the book. They may even write something in their native language — especially if they are from countries like Japan, China and Morocco.
Back at the Kidcot Fun Stops, this spot is the perfect place to keep the kids entertained while someone is off getting an adult beverage for the 21 and older crowd. Kids can participate in crafts, learn more information and interesting facts about the countries they visited throughout the park and maybe even learn to say a few things in each country’s native language.
