Galaxy Lights returns on Nov. 15 to the official visitor’s center of NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Delighting family travelers each year, this beloved tradition features cosmic light displays and warm festive treats.

Walk beneath LED light swings under the center’s 747 Boeing aircraft, a historic-flown artifact on permanent display at Independence Plaza above the launch pad. Snap the perfect photo of the Apollo-themed lantern activations, or take a stellar stroll under the stars through the 200-foot LED light tunnel and 30-foot-tall light display of the Space Launch System rocket.
Other highlights include a crystal fireworks light show choreographed to an epic playlist, a 40-foot-tall shooting star display and daily screenings of the original film Holidays in Space.

Visitors are invited to end the entire experience with time at the fire pit station for some hot cocoa and s’mores. For parents, grab a can of the new Starbase brew, Go for Launch.
The event, presented by Wellby Financial, runs through Jan. 4, 2026, open 6–10 p.m. On select dates (Nov. 20 and Jan. 5), the event offers low sensory nights designed for guests who prefer a quieter, less stimulating experience.
