Certified Autism Destinations must meet a variety of accessibility requirements including the majority of its attractions and tourism-related organizations completing training and certification to better serve autism-specific needs. Greater Palm Springs’ designation highlights the area’s commitment to accessibility and inclusivity for autistic travelers and their families.
Many of the area’s organizations hold Certified Autism Center status, ensuring staff are equipped with resources and training to accommodate autistic guests. These organizations include JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa; The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage; Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert; Escape Room Palm Springs; Farm restaurant; and The Front Porch restaurant. These and other attractions are searchable on the IBCCES Accessibility App, which offers real-time guidance for users. The location-specific app is free to download.
