This year, Chattanooga, Tennessee, takes center stage with a full lineup of music events, offering family travelers more than one chance to visit this town. Here are some of the upcoming music festivals and events coming to Chattanooga:
Held on the first weekend of June (this year, June 3–4), Riverbend Festival draws 50,000 visitors each year. This year, the festival celebrates its 40th edition with a lineup including Maren Morris and Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats.
Founded in 2014 by Drew Holcomb, this late-summer festival runs Sept. 9–10 this year and centers around family fun. In addition to an expansive treehouse space, the festival streams the top college and NFL games at Lookout Lounge inside the Outdoor Chattanooga building.
Every Friday this summer, Chattanooga hosts the Nightfall music series, as well as the weekly Riverfront Concert Series every Saturday night. Both events are free.
Every weekend through Oct. 20, this street performance initiative showcases musicians who perform for up to two hours (6–8 p.m. on Friday, noon–8 p.m. on Saturday). You can find these buskers in downtown districts like the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge, Station Street and MLK Boulevard.
