Family traveler-friendly Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica recently completed a comprehensive $16 million renovation, which began in 2024 and introduced a vibrant new design aesthetic across all 315 guestrooms; 15,000 square feet of innovative meeting spaces; and a new all-day restaurant.

“This transformation represents our commitment to creating spaces where guests don’t just stay—they connect, recharge, and find inspiration,” said Shawn Holliday, general manager, Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica. “From the busy executive seeking a refreshed oceanside retreat to couples celebrating life’s milestones against our iconic coastal backdrop, every element has been thoughtfully designed to deliver experiences that are both meaningful and memorable. The completion of this renovation solidifies our position as Santa Monica’s premier destination for those seeking authentic California spirit in the heart of the action.”

Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica will soon be Santa Monica’s preeminent gathering ground for meetings and events as the renovation introduced 11 versatile event spaces, with the crown jewel the 4,526-square-foot Delfina Ballroom, Santa Monica’s only rooftop ballroom. Sandbox is a 500-square-foot, game room-style venue on the mezzanine level featuring darts, shuffleboard, games, workstations and a bar, built for team building and networking.

Central to the renovation is the debut of Coastal Harvest Bar & Kitchen, an all-day restaurant featuring California-inspired cuisine crafted with locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. The stylish lounge offers handcrafted cocktails, wine and craft beer.

The hotel’s reimagined design draws directly from the locale: inspired by ocean waves, beach sand and sunsets, and the iconic Santa Monica Pier. The renovation also brought seven Sunset Suites, each featuring a private ocean-view balcony with a whirlpool hot tub. All 315 redesigned guestrooms blend Santa Monica’s relaxed beach aesthetic with a contemporary and bold palette.

Centrally located on Pico Boulevard, Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica puts guests steps from the best of Santa Monica, including Santa Monica Pier, beaches, downtown dining on Third Street Promenade or Ocean Boulevard and Silicon Beach’s tech corridor. The property also boasts a heated saltwater pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, complimentary beach cruiser bicycles and an array of contemporary amenities.
