Carnival Cruise Lines have always been at the forefront of creating a fun and memorable cruising experience for the whole family. With the addition of its new Zumbini classes for its youngest passengers, your little ones will have even more fun as they groove to the music with mom and dad in a fun-filled, parent-child exercise class designed just for them.
If you’ve ever taken a Zumba class then you know how much fun the high-energy program can be. With Zumbini, a version of Zumba created specifically for young children, kids can get in on the fun with a wide range of musical styles that incorporate movement and a variety of instruments, like drums and bells, into a fun workout. The experience combines exercise, fun, learning and parent-child bonding. Children and parents are encouraged to sing, dance and play.
The goals of Zumbini, created by BabyFirst and Zumba, are to increase social and cognitive skills, aid in emotional development, enhance children’s motor skills by teaching balance and rhythm, and give parents and children a chance to let loose, have fun and bond together.

Classes run 30–45 minutes and are offered on all of Carnival’s ships. Children up to age 6 are allowed to participate in the fun and the program is free of charge as part of your onboard amenities.
Carnival offers two separate class options — one accommodating children aged 2 through 5 (this 30-minute class is offered on all cruises) and another for children up to age 6 (this 45-minute session is available on longer cruises running six days or longer). The classes, led by the well-trained youth staff, are part of the cruise line’s Camp Ocean program, which provides supervised, ocean-themed activities both day and night for kids aged 2 through 11 so they can learn, have fun and make friends during their trip.
Zumbini is an excellent addition to the already plentiful opportunities offered for families with young children to have a blast during their cruise, like the Cherry on Top candy shops found on nearly all of Carnival’s ships and the Seuss at Sea program which brings the imaginative world of Dr. Seuss to life in an interactive experience for the whole family.
The pairing of the energetic Zumbini program and the family-fun powerhouse that is Carnival Cruise Lines is a surefire way to ensure families with small children can make the most out of their cruising vacation.

It has also established a niche as an affordable carrier with premium attributes and a soft spot for family travelers.
