Age Specific / Adult Children

Bonding with the kids over a shared love and appreciation is one of the oldest tricks in the book. Getting to enjoy something you all love and have insightful conversations about can be the lifeblood of any relationship — insert a passion for music, art or both and you have yourself a plethora of fun locales and incredible destinations to explore together.

One in particular that’s building significant momentum and interest on the heels of the highly anticipated Bohemian Rhapsody

film, Morrison Hotel Gallery in Los Angeles and New York City welcomes fans from world-round to enjoy “Killer Queen,” a special art and music exhibit focusing on Queen and lead singer, Freddie Mercury.

Rock music and culture junkies head to the exhibit, Nov. 2–10, at the gallery showcase in the Sunset Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles, or the Nov. 5–10 presentation in New York City’s SoHo space.

Music fans enjoy the never-before-seen images of the band Queen, while art fans appreciate the work of some of the legendary music photographers in the business.

Celebrate the lives and work of the members of Queen during the limited exhibit in preparation for the film. Bond with the kids of all ages over the life and legacy of the truly renegade band and the path they blazed for musicians today.

Another unique feature, get a behind-the-scenes look at what the photographers thought of Freddie Mercury and the iconic concerts they covered. Read about the impressions famed concert photographers had about the events, Mercury on tour and the incredible history of the band’s epic rise to fame. For anyone looking forward to the Bohemian Rhapsody biopic, consider this a worthy precursor.

The exhibit would be hard-pressed to find a better venue to host “Killer Queen”, as MHG is a leader in music art, photography and archives. Including everything from jazz, rock, blue grass and blues, the space boasts literally hundreds of thousands of images fans can search online.

Whether traveling to Los Angeles

or New York this November, “Killer Queen” is a great excuse to get out and enjoy an alternate side of the art world. If visiting museums and art galleries isn’t exactly your family’s thing, good, because this is not your average art space.

Spend the day enjoying the city and taking in the local culture before checking out the photography. It can be an added highlight to your family time in the city.
