New Dining Options
The Shipyard at 17th Street Craft Brewery
Opening spring 2022, this new restaurant and craft brewery is the perfect place to enjoy the spring weather. The restaurant is made out of old recycled shipping containers and features a tasting room and rooftop patio.
This popular pizza parlor expands with a new lakefront location in the city’s southern section. Hoping to provide a “backyard” experience, the shop features a spacious outdoor deck area, cornhole, fire pits and more. Even though it is already known for its pizza, burgers and wings, the new location is adding more than two dozen beers on tap.
At this recently opened restaurant, enjoy a menu full of fried fish, scallops, oysters and more. Make sure to check out the made-from-scratch side dishes, fresh-baked bread and a full-service bar.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
This retro-style chain restaurant will open in spring 2022 and is known for its delicious steakburgers and frozen custard. It even has its own fanbase known as Fredheads who love the famous Fry Sauce, shoestring fries and more.
New Experiences
Mountain Bike Trails
Marshview Park is now home to nearly five miles of multiuse soft trails designed to meet International Mountain Biking Association standards. This is the city’s first set of trails that vary in length, difficulty and skill level. Access is available year-round at no charge.
This tour gives you a guided introduction to the city’s rich outdoor environments. Explore the natural areas with a historian, relax with yoga on the beach, take a guided forest walk or a forest bathing experience.
Copon Studios and TikTok Studios Selfie Museum
Coming in January 2022, get in touch with your creative side in a 20,000-square-foot studio designed for creators. Actor and Emmy Award-winning producer Mike Copon’s collection of professional sets, Instagram-worthy suites and fun backdrops is the perfect place to enhance your feed or even film your next blog or TikTok.
