Family travelers can now head to San Diego Zoo Safari Park’s newly launched Safari Excursions, a gathering space and hub for all safari departures. Located about 30 minutes north of San Diego Zoo, this new spot serves as a unique starting point for a safari adventure, complete with a check-in space and area to meet guides.
Families are invited to share stories and soak in the excitement prior to their safari adventure. And what kind of safaris can families expect?

For deeper exploration, take the family on the Behind-the-Scenes Safari. On this small-group tour, guests visit exclusive areas not accessible to the public, where a knowledgeable guide shares how they care for wildlife and carry out conservation work in San Diego and around the world.
Safari Excursions is designed with inclusivity and universal accessibility in mind, offering a fully ADA-accessible space. With each visit to San Diego Zoo Safari Park and San Diego Zoo, wildlife allies help support San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance in its commitment to saving species worldwide.
