This hotel is uniquely located inside an old, refurbished power plant erected in the 1920s. The building was in use until 2012, and turned into the JW Marriott in 2020 with 419 guestrooms for every families’ needs. Each room has an industrial feel with chic, upscale décor. Visitors can also enjoy the hotel’s fitness center and a spa. The hotel is dog-friendly with an additional fee. Situated in the heart of Savannah, travelers have easy access to shopping, museums, historical sights and more.
Kids can join an educational adventure through a guided program with Dusty the Dinosaur Ranger that showcases the hotel’s collection of geodes, fossils and dinosaur skeletons. The Dinosaur Adventure runs every Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are required.
Adults can enjoy cocktails with gorgeous city views at the Electric Moon Skytop Lounge and Moon Deck or at the Myrtle and Rose Rooftop Garden for small plates and drinks. Other food offerings for the whole family include District Seafood, Baobab African Lounge, Riverside Sushi and biergarten.
