With the holiday season right around the corner, it’s time to get in the festive spirit. The Broadmoor is the perfect place to kick off the season.
A twinkling start can be found at the resort, which sparkles with 1 million white lights. The festive lighting ceremony takes place the Saturday after Thanksgiving with performances, Mr. and Mrs. Claus and the unveiling of the annual massive gingerbread display, standing at 10 feet tall and more than 12 feet wide.
After the big kick-off party, the hotel will celebrate all season long with gingerbread decorating classes for kids, holiday dining menus and more.
On Saturday and Sunday for the first three weekends in December, The Broadmoor Manitou & Pikes Peak Cog Railway will serve hot chocolate and cookies when the train pulls into the depot at the top of Pikes Peak. Kids even have a chance to snap a photo with Santa.
Cloud Camp, a luxury property atop Cheyenne Mountain, is available for a special private buyout at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The remote retreat is perched among the clouds on a mountain roughly 10,000 feet in the air with a 360-degree view of nearby Pikes Peak and Colorado Springs. Families can enjoy games and crafts, grand dinners in the lodge, hiking, snowman building, winter walks, wine tastings and much more.
The can’t-miss Classic Broadmoor Holiday Show has been a seasonal favorite for more than 25 years. Each year, the star-studded event features musical talent in a traditional dinner show variety with special guests like Grammy award-winner Sheena Easton, Broadway star Marcus Lovett, Jim Salestorm and more.
