Luxury

Whether your child recently discovered the magical, wild world of the Lion King, or the classic Disney film has been a favorite for decades, you’ll love the new Lion King-inspired itinerary from luxury travel provider andBeyond. Just as the live action movie hits theaters July 19, families can book the new King of the Jungle itinerary for unforgettable adventures and their own helping of hakuna matata.

The 10-day safari journey travels through the Masai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, and you’ll be sure to spot some of your favorite Lion King cast members throughout your trip as you watch the “Circle of Life” laid out at your feet. From a pride of lions to friendly hornbills, suspicious hyenas to lovable warthogs, it’s likely they’ll all make an appearance during this family vacation to remember. The itinerary even includes a visit to the remote Western Corridor of the Serengeti, nicknamed Mufasa Country due to the huge lion population.

The animals aren’t the only highlights of this trip. There’s plenty to do and enjoy for all members of the family, regardless of age.

Before the kids come to life in the morning, parents will love watching the sun come up over the Masai Mara plains from their suites at the andBeyond Bateleur Camp — just like the opening scenes from the Disney film. While hippos might have not played a huge role in the Lion King, parents and older travelers will still love keeping an eye over the Serengeti’s hippo pods while they relax in the pool with a cocktail.

Everyone will enjoy the trip to the world’s largest caldera, Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, where you can keep an eye out for big tusker elephants and the rare rhino or two. Then, you’ll spend the night at the andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge and meet Ngorongoro Conservation Area teams working with the local communities to protect the precious lion populations.

As you travel across the Serengeti, you’ll have every luxury you might need, thanks to the andBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas full-service mobile tented camp. This one-of-a-kind luxury safari camp anticipates the movements of wildlife migrations so guests can easily follow along without every leaving creature comforts behind.

The 10-day, nine-night journey starts at $17,750 per person, with special rates for children.
