It’s never too soon to start planning your summer vacation!
Allianz Partners released the results of its summer destinations review. The travel insurance company analyzed 985,000 flight itineraries of trips between five and eight days during the summer travel season between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Florida, Hawai’i, the Caribbean and Mexico are the most popular destinations.
For the fifth year in a row, Orlando, Florida, and Cancun, Mexico, took the top spots for domestic and international destinations, respectively. Hawai’i increased in popularity with four destinations in the top 10 compared to two in 2020 and 2019. The Caribbean also increased in popularity with seven destinations in the top 10. Mexico’s three destinations round out the international top 10.
Americans prefer longer getaways over short trips for 2021, with 59 percent of travelers taking seven-night trips.

Children’s programming and games are standard on most transcontinental flights, and Neos Airlines is no exception. While the Italian carrier is relatively new to the U.S. market, launching its first New York (JFK)–Milan (MXP) flights in 2021, it now counts Rome (FCO); Palermo (PMO); and Bari, Puglia (BRI) (as of June 2025) as destinations from New York.
