Two LEGOLAND Resorts Reveal the Galacticoaster

LEGOLAND Florida Resort and LEGOLAND California Resort both recently announced their all-new, space-themed, indoor coasters will be called Galacticoaster and officially blast off in early 2026. At more than three years in the making, this intergalactic experience is the most ambitious and technically advanced ride ever built at any LEGOLAND Resort.

Both parks offered first looks at the installation of the highly anticipated attraction, at more than 30,000 square feet and towering more than 50 feet high. The ride’s concept sees family travelers board a LEGO spacecraft for an interstellar adventure, blending high-speed thrills and imaginative storytelling.

“Galacticoaster marks the first indoor coaster built inside the main park since LEGOLAND Florida opened in 2011. From the very beginning, we aimed to create an immersive experience for our guests from the moment they step inside,” said Blake Boyter, senior project manager, Merlin Magic Making. “From the engineering precision to the LEGO DNA woven throughout, guests will experience more LEGO storytelling, more excitement, and more out-of-this-world fun than ever before.”

The ride will be located at LEGOLAND California Resort’s Fun Town inside a 30,000-square-foot building more than 30 feet high, the resort’s first new coaster in more than 20 years.

“Galacticoaster is going to launch LEGOLAND California into a whole new galaxy of fun,” said Flora Liu, senior project manager, Merlin Magic Making. “It’s our first coaster here in more than 20 years and part of Merlin’s largest-ever LEGOLAND investment – $90 million to bring Galacticoaster to both LEGOLAND California and LEGOLAND Florida. We’ve pulled inspiration from LEGO sets families have loved for decades, while layering in modern technology to create the most immersive and personalized coaster experience yet.”
