Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa Cabo San Lucas recently unveiled a transformation that includes reimagined pools, revitalized entertainment spaces and renewed culinary destinations. The many upgrades also include amenities friendly to family travelers.
“This project is dynamic, inspiring, and rooted in the evolving desires of our guests. It symbolizes what we believe hospitality should be … not only a place to stay, but a canvas for unforgettable experiences,” said Cesar Madera, CEO, The Villa Group Resorts. “We have elevated every part of the journey, whether it’s families making memories by the pool, couples savoring a romantic sunset dinner, or friends escaping to reconnect and explore.”

The renovation began in 2024 with a bright and welcoming new lobby, and followed with open-air Tortugas Terrace, high-energy Sports Bar and farm-to-table Tomatillos. Newly expanded pool areas are at the heart of the transformation, with larger pools, additional hot tubs, a new fire pit, stylish lounge seating and luxurious daybeds. A fully reimagined family pool and splash zones means playful spaces for families, while adults-only areas provide spaces to relax.
Inspired by the flavors of Italy, rebuilt Bella California delivers fresh, modern cuisine with iconic oceanfront views of El Arco’s rock formation. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the morning meal is a buffet-style concept; an á la carte menu and a pizza bar option await midday; and night brings handmade pastas, fresh seafood and other favorites, along with access to salad and dessert bars. Los Cabos native Chef Kevin Rendón Alvarado heads up Bella California.
The resort’s Argentine-style steakhouse, Carbón Grill, was also updated with a fresh look and culinary focus that includes a curated wine list, bold Latin flavors, premium meats, just-caught seafood and plant-based dishes. Versatile Taco Bar evolved into a dual culinary experience where guests can enjoy authentic tacos and sushi along with handcrafted margaritas. These transformed dining offerings join aforementioned Tomatillos, Tortugas Terrace and Sports Bar.
