Denmark
This European country has a high quality of life and happiness index, and its crime safety also means it’s a great place to vacation in 2026.
Ireland
Teeming with history, culture and tradition, Ireland has it all, from cities like Dublin to natural landscapes like the Cliffs of Moher. The country also boasts great crime and safety ratings and a strong health infrastructure.
New Zealand
Not only is New Zealand considered one of the most beautiful countries in the world, but it is also one of the safest globally. The country excels particularly in civil freedoms and equality.
Switzerland
Although small, Switzerland draws many for its ski slopes, Swiss Alps and hiking trails. Families can expect a natural-centric trip that is also safe, thanks to high crime safety and a robust health infrastructure. The country also has some of the lowest corruption levels globally.
Other countries named as some of the safest for travel in 2026 include Austria, Finland, Czech Republic, Canada and Germany.
The study was conducted by CryptoWinRate, looking at 20 metrics contributing towards how safe a country may be to travel, including crime rates, health infrastructure, natural disaster risk and civil freedoms.
