After the past year, no one really needs an excuse to get away and go on a well-deserved vacation. Whether you are looking for a weekend family getaway or a week-long trip, Virginia Beach is the place for you. With brand-new amenities, offers, activities and more, you can’t go wrong.
New Experiences
Virginia Beach recently introduced the Get Outdoors Pass, just in time for summer. The pass offers discounts to attractions, tour operators, rentals and more. The destination is home to 120 miles of waterways, 200 miles of hiking and biking pathways and 4,000 acres of national refuges and state parks. Participants can do anything from parasailing to dolphin tours, surfing lessons to ziplining and more.
Head to Pleasure House Point Natural Area’s trails and explore the trails with a twist. Venture through the park’s landscape and art while listening to a cinematic score created by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Ellen Reid. The GPS-enabled experience is triggered by musical cells designed to harmonize with the landscapes and attractions.
Craft your own custom surf or SUP board to suit your personal style in the East Coast’s only D.I.Y. board factory. The experience offers one-on-one guidance from an experienced instructor, access to professional shaping bay, tools and more.
New and Updated Events and Entertainment
Ocean Breeze Waterpark unveils a six-story family raft ride in a special salute to the military. The mega-tube raft launches from a 60-foot platform that provides excellent views of the entire waterpark.
What’s Happening on Virginia Beach Oceanfront
Families can experience nightly street performances all summer long while dazzling dancers, magicians, jugglers and concerts will keep you entertained for free 7– 11p.m. in the heart of the resort area.
