Destinations / North America

Take family travel to one of the most unique water parks in the country this summer. SoundWaves at Gaylord Opryland Resort, in Nashville, Tennessee, is home to one of the most impressive water attractions with both indoor and outdoor areas.

The indoor area is open year-round and offers an 84-degree oasis that allows guests to soak up the sun and warmth during any season. The outdoor area opens for the summer season beginning Memorial Day weekend.

No matter what level of thrill you seek, the water park offers something for everyone. Guests can put surf skills to the test on Nashville’s only double FlowRider, slip down multiple water slides, climb aboard an intense mega raft ride, race down a four-lane mat racer, relax on the lazy river, and float along an upbeat rapid river surrounded by waterfalls and spray features. Younger kids can splash the day away in the activity pool, multilevel play structures and splash pads, while adults unwind at two adults-only pools.

In true Nashville fashion, music plays a big part in the soundwave experience. The outdoor area features a larger-than-life LED screen overlooking the giant wave pool and displays music videos where guests can jam to their favorite tunes while soaking up the sun. The waterslides are also equipped with LED lights and musical speakers for an even more exciting adventure.
