Yogi Bear Comes to Texas

Yogi Bear is opening a new camp resort near Waco, Texas. The Jellystone Park franchise currently has 75 locations throughout the United States and Canada with plans to expand properties in Utah and Tennessee, totaling eight new projects in the coming years.

 

The new camping resort is in Groesbeck, Texas, just 45 minutes away from Waco. Campers can expect to enjoy a seven-acre lake with white-sand beaches, a Witbit water obstacle course, 150 RV sites, nine cabins, two Conestoga wagons, a pool, a dog park and a pavilion for family fun activities.

 

Work started on the resort in Texas. covering 80 acres of land. Developer Randy Sims is a Texas native from Houston who frequently visited the site’s location as a child. “My family’s roots there go back to the Texas Revolution, and I have always wanted to do something to contribute to the community and the economy,” said Sims

 

Jellystone Park is expected to open to the public in spring 2022.
