1.Enchanted Christmas at Westonbirt Arboretum
Through Dec. 10, head to the beautiful Westonbirt Arboretum to walk the breathtaking light trail. With interactive displays, the installation allows guests to wander the arboretum and even spot elves in the forest.
2. The Festival of Light at Longleat
Roald Dahl’s much-loved characters from his beloved stories come to life at this event, running until Jan. 8. Characters from BFG, Matilda and Fantastic Mr. Fox await, with more than 800 lanterns set against the backdrop of Longleat House. Longleat also hosts the Enchanted Christmas Tree Show. Purchasing all-in-one tickets allow guests to enjoy access to popular animal and adventure attractions, including the Winter Safari.
Now through Jan. 4, Propyard hosts a new festive experience. The experience includes an indoor ice rink, ice bumper cars and an animatronic polar bear. Other features include an après ski bar, street food and crafts market.
4. Cinderella at Bristol Hippodrome
This year’s star of Bristol Hippodrome is Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood. Reserve tickets to this classic fairytale here.
5. Cribbs Winter Wonderland with Paddington
The Mall at Cribbs Causeway invites visitors to meet Paddington this winter. The beloved character graces the mall through Jan. 2. The mall also sees Santa and an outdoor ice rink. Guests can also enjoy story time with Paddington.
6. Winter Wonderland at Wookey Hole
Open Nov. 26–Jan. 1, Wookey Hole boasts more than 100,000 lights to brighten the space, turning it into an underground adventure land. While at Wookey Hole, visit Santa’s North Pole grotto to meet Santa and take home a present, or watch a Christmas-themed circus show inspired by Elf on the Shelf.
7. Victorian Christmas at Brunel’s SS Great Britain
On Dec. 3–4 and 10–11, Brunel’s SS Great Britain sees the return of the popular Victorian Christmas weekends. Santa dons his green robes and the dockyards transform into a winter wonderland, complete with falling snow.
