Opulence for the Family at Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort

Luxury

Son of famed ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau, Jean-Michel is a chip off the old block. Since being thrown into the family business at age seven — when he was literally thrown into the ocean with his father’s newly invented diving gear — Jean-Michel has carried on his father’s deep sea passion.

Luckily for luxury travelers, Jean-Michel’s pioneering spirit and enthusiasm for oceanography was channeled into a world-class luxury hotel, the Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort in Fiji. The all-inclusive, 5-star resort offers the best of the South Pacific with family accommodations from simple garden- and ocean-view rooms to two-bedroom stays and the premier Presidential Villa.

Upgrade your stay to a deluxe room and opt for the Point Reef Bures. The Point Reef Bures floorplan provides ample space for up to five guests with split-level rooms for privacy — each providing a balcony and deck, outdoor hammocks, furniture and spacious living space.

Perfectly situated overlooking Savusavu Bay, the resort offers incredible views and activities for the whole family. Take resort-hosted excursions off the property into the surrounding tropical environment, or take full advantage of the resort’s complimentary amenities and activities.

For the little ones, ages 12 and younger, head to the Bula Club for a range of fun and educational activities. There, your family will find a junior and family pool complete with a water slide, trampoline, jungle gym and treehouse. Kids and families engage in various activities tailored to guest’s ages and interests. Spend the day learning about Fijian culture, exploring coral reefs or indulging in arts and crafts with the kids, or leave them with the trusted on-site staff for some alone time.

The resort also caters to small children, from babies to toddlers, with complimentary on-site childcare services. Children 6 years old and younger can be assigned their own personal nanny from 9 a.m.–9 p.m., while children ages 6–12 years can join a group of up to five children as Fiji buddies.

One unique aspect of the Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort is the specific attention on ocean discovery and adventure. Take full advantage of the location’s incredible diving sites, including Namena reef. Get the family certified to dive in three days with expert instructors, a 30-minute pool lesson and shallow dive practice.

Anyone aged 10 and older can participate, exploring the breathtaking Fiji scenery and vibrant deep-sea life on a family dive.
