Located in central Florida, Give Kids the World Village offers families with critical illness an escape from the challenges of everyday living. This retreat is run fully on volunteer staff, donated meals, large corporate backing and wish-granting organizations. The 84-acre, non-profit resort provides loving memories for families to cherish. Families can sign up for volunteer shifts to scoop ice cream, deliver pizza, staff the carousel, participate in entertainment programs and bring beloved characters to life.
The devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 still has parts of New Orleans in need of volunteers to help rebuild. The Youth Rebuilding New Orleans program invites families to pick up the pieces and build something new for those affected. Aimed at educating those ages 16–21, all ages are welcome to join to revitalize the spirits of neighbors of New Orleans.
