Multigenerational

When it comes to Roadside Americana, spots like Madonna Inn deliver family travelers unique experiences that are as much a tourist attraction as the cities we travel to. This unique hotel, which dates back to the 1950s, offers the perfect blend of comfort and kitschy glamour, giving the inn a style all of its own.

Nestled in the hills of San Luis Obispo along California’s Central Coast, Madonna Inn offers guests 110 completely different themed rooms to choose from. With so many fun options, families can experience a different stay each time they visit, one that caters to their individual styles and tastes, as well as to their curiosity.

While past guests often have their favorite rooms, part of the fun is trying out a different room with each stay. The Swiss Belle room features alpine themes throughout, like delicate floral detailing and rock walls, including a rock waterfall shower. The Old Mexico room showcases vibrant blues and warm yellows, along with the wood-beam ceilings and tiled flooring reminiscent of a Mexican hacienda. The Antique Car room is perfect for car lovers, while the Caveman room features a prehistoric theme, letting guests feel like they are sleeping in a cave with animal prints and Stone Age-themed décor.

Apart from the rooms, the inn itself is meticulously adorned with specifically designed etched glasswork. The property incorporates the native landscape into its design using rock and boulder accents pulled from the site of the 1,000-acre property. Hand-carved wood and marble detailing can be found throughout, showing dedication to craftmanship that went into the loving design.

As the holidays approach, the inn has been transformed to welcome the season, ensuring the unique experience of each guest extends far beyond the themed room they choose. The twinkling of Christmas lights is the perfect pairing for Madonna Inn’s signature pink and stone design themes seen everywhere at this family-favorite hotel.
