Michael Owen’s Kids’ Football Camp Returns to Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort

Following two successful camps, former England striker Michael Owen returns to Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort for the third iteration of his Kids’ Football Camp, running Oct. 14–17.

“I’m thrilled to be returning to Avani+ Fares Maldives this October for the third edition of the football camp,” said Owen. “Over the past two camps, it’s been fantastic to see so many young players develop their skills and confidence while creating unforgettable memories with their families in Baa Atoll. For children ages 5–13 and of all abilities, the program gives young players the opportunity to train directly with the 2001 Ballon d’Or winner through three 90-minute coaching sessions, progressing from first touch to passing and overloads, before dribbling and ball mastery, followed by challenges and matches.

The four-day program begins with Stories with a Legend, where Owen shares tales from his career. Meet the Owens, a six-part docuseries following his life with wife Louise and their four children, premiered August 28. The camp continues with coaching sessions; team challenges; a final match; a farewell party featuring live music, a Q&A with Owen and a shirt-signing session; and a medal and certificate presentation. The camp is complimentary for resort guests staying during the event. Each registered participant will also receive an official Football Kit.
