Family travelers to the Big Apple this holiday season can look forward to a lineup of once-in-a-lifetime offerings. Here’s a closer look at some of what is on offer:
This property celebrates the return of its golden lobby holiday tree collaboration with Jesse Cooper of Light the Lights. This year, the tree will feature the addition of more than 80 golden Winward Mosaic Mirror Magnolia Picks to help guests feel the spirit of the season. Large holly balls will adorn the windows that flank the hotel’s entrance.
Custom ornaments on the tree will say “Park” and “Terrace,” gold leafed by hand in 24-karat gold. The hotel’s members-only club Branch will feature its own tree with the entire space sparkling, creating a champagne effect. Guests can also enjoy a specialty menu of Champagne throughout the month of December.
Park Terrace Hotel will partner with Chocolat Moderne, offering a curated selection of Chocolat Moderne’s Cocoa Casbah Hot Chocolate flavors.
The hotel’s complimentary gift wrapping station will be located in Branch in collaboration with London Penny.

Hyatt Regency Times Square also celebrates the season, its first as Manhattan’s first Hyatt Regency.
Jesse Cooper of Light the Lights also transforms the lobby of Hyatt Regency Times Square, creating a Botanical Holiday Garden with five different trees, hundreds of feet of garland and twinkling lights galore. The five holiday trees include boxwood, eucalyptus, cedar, long needle pine, Norfolk pine, paperwhites and narcissi.
Taking inspiration from the movie Elf, brick artist Sid Dinsay created brick-built versions of Big Apple landmarks, like Buddy the Elf’s display in the legendary Gimbel’s department store in the movie. Guests and locals can pop into Hyatt Regency Times Square’s lobby and see these incredible recreations.
Great Big Game Show
Great Big Game Show is a brand-new interactive game show experience. Family travelers to New York can enjoy a “merry little show-down” between families, friends and colleagues.
Starting Nov. 24, choose between Great Big Game Show regular or the Holiday Edition shows, including:
- Stocking Stuffers: Grab spoons and pack the most candy into a stocking in 60 seconds.
- Elf-ementary: Face five grade-school trivia questions and aim for an A+.
- Freeze or Fortune: Take turns spinning a giant wheel to earn points.
- Shopping Spree: Open one of three gifts to claim your prize. One hides coal, so be careful!
- Ring Around the Rudolph: Toss as many rings as you can onto your teammate’s antlers in 30 seconds.
- Chimney Delivery: Drop five chips with different powers down a peg-board to aim for points.
- The Final Snowdown: Toss snowballs at the screen to shatter as many snowflakes as you can before time runs out.
