Costa Cruises

Cruising

No matter your age or interest, the on-board and on-shore offerings from Costa Cruises are guaranteed to delight. Across the ships, offerings vary, but among the most popular of Costa’s entertainment and activities are White Night, when guests, crew and officers dress in head-to-toe white, formal attire; the Mister and Miss Italy event; and theme events such as Jungle Party and Candy Night, hosted on the Costa Deliziosa.

Onboard lounges and bars feature bands and DJs spin at shipboard dance clubs. Classical concerts are held on board, as well as full-scale productions, including Fascination, starring Russian ballerinas.

Other options include Formula 1 driving simulators, PlayStation game areas, 4D cinemas, golf simulators, water parks, arts and crafts and cooking classes, among others.

Wellness seekers will enjoy a Costa cruise, particularly on those ships equipped with Samsara Spa, an Asian-inspired wellness facility. Special Samsara Cabins, located in an exclusive area of the ship, offer in-cabin breakfast, 24-hour room service, the exclusive, healthy Samsara Restaurant and in-room amenities including a purifying shower filter, aromatic essence diffuser, scales and specialty teas. Other Costa ships boast a fully equipped Wellness Center and guests enjoy onboard fitness facilities, group classes and one-on-one training sessions. A Beauty Salon and Barbor Shop offer styling services, and active shore tours mean cruisers can find their fitness fix off the boat as well.

On Costa Deliziosa, 52 staterooms have direct access to the spa. The Samsara Spa is 11,500 square feet on two levels with a gym, thalassotherapy, a Turkish Bath and a UVA-ray solarium.

Of course, Costa doesn’t forget its mini cruisers. Entertainment staff is available every day from 9 a.m.–noon, from 3–6 p.m. and from 9–11:30 p.m., to entertain kids with games and activities so parents can relax. The free service is divided into four clubs: Mini,  3–6 years; Maxi,  7–11 years; Teen Junior, 12–14 years; and Teens, 15–17.

Multiple fun, innovative programs cater to teen cruisers. Onboard Costa Deliziosa, teens enjoy Etoiles Cinema 4D, featuring cutting-edge technology, amazing special effects, unique thrills and a sensory experience.

The fun doesn’t end when cruisers step off the boat. Costa’s shore excursions provide insight into the history, culture and landscape of the region and its people. Tailor-made offerings allow passengers full independence. Eco-friendly activities are also available, combining the fun of a cruise with an environmentally friendly way of travel, supporting both the environment and the local people.
