Starting 2020, a new itinerary from Adventures by Disney
takes families and travelers to Egypt for a three-part tour with plenty of pharaohs, pyramids and pristine Egyptian landscapes.
The ancient and modern combine in an unforgettable itinerary that’s truly one of a kind. Families can get up close and personal with historical and cultural landmarks situated along the Nile River, both the most famous we all know and recognize, and the lesser-known relics that are a luxury experience you never dreamed possible.
The Egyptian adventure tours take place over 10 days and nine nights. What can your family expect?
Highlights include a visit to ancient monuments alongside your own world-class guides and Egyptologists. See the pyramids; Sphinx of Giza; Valley of the Kings; Tutankhamun’s tomb; and the temples of Luxor, Komb Ombo, Horus at Edfu, Philae and Karnak. While at the great pyramids in Giza, tour the burial chamber of Pharaoh Cheops, an exclusive experience.
The Grand Egyptian Museum opens to the public in 2020 and your family will be some of the first visitors. Kids will love the interactive King Tut-themed treasure hunt, while adults peruse the amazing exhibits.
The adventure also provides plenty of opportunities for hands-on, family-friendly cultural activities, like Egyptian cooking classes, folkloric shows and hieroglyphic writing lessons.

All the while, your family will enjoy sailboat rides, trips to the local markets, Bedouin dinners, cruising along the Nile and even a stay at a Red Sea resort. While in Sharm El Sheikh, families enjoy a full-day snorkeling excursion and a trip on a private boat to visit the Red Sea’s famous coral reefs.
There are 11 Egypt departures in 2020, but five are reserved for adult travelers only. If you’re interested in the tour for just you and your partner, you’ll be treated to some special adults-only extra activities, such as an exclusive VIP tour of the conservation rooms at the Grand Egypt Museum
.
Adventures by Disney made a concerted effort to expand its adult-exclusive departures as well as its adults-only activities on its tours. New adults-only itineraries for the coming years include trips to Costa Rica, China, Laos and Iceland. Other up-and-coming itineraries for the entire family include trips and tours to Montana and Yellowstone, as well as European river cruises.
