Go City’s Summer Top Up Campaign Gives Families a Chance to Make Vacation Dreams Come True

Family travels make memories that last a lifetime and give us the chance to bond with those we love the most. But they are also costly, often adding strain to budgets that may already be stretched paper thin in today’s economy.

Yet many Americans are still doing whatever it takes to make those family trips happen, whether they can afford it or not. A Summer Vacation Survey conducted by Bankrate showed more than a third of U.S. adults are taking on debt just to go on a family vacation, which means any little bit helps when it comes to making vacation dreams come true.

Go City’s new Summer Top Up giveaway hopes to bring those vacation dreams a little closer for some families this summer with a 10-week campaign that launched last month. A TikTok was the inspiration for this campaign, one in which a man plays the ukulele while singing an original song about his plight to give his nieces the vacation of a lifetime.

In the video, Zach Baumann asks tour brands and attractions for support to help make his family’s dreams come true. Baumann himself went broke flying his nieces to Hawai’i to give them an amazing vacation, and his video seems to have sparked a movement. Go City, along with numerous other organizations like Southwest Airlines, Slowtide, Pride of Maui and Doordash, pitched in to help out other families like Baumann’s who want nothing more than to bring smiles to the faces of their loved ones in a world where simply living is getting unaffordable.

Go City, a company that offers attraction pass bundles at top destinations around the world at steeply discounted rates, has teamed up with a host of companies to make this happen with a multi-round summer giveaway. Through Sept. 22, enter to win in the Summer Top Up giveaway. Winners receive up to six Go City passes, which include the top attractions in more than 25 sought-after vacation destinations around the world like Barcelona, Cancún, London, New York and Boston, just to name a few.

Go City’s fully digital passes let you experience a city with the flexibility of choosing which attractions and tours you want to include in your pass, along with when you use them. To enter the giveaway, simply visit Go City’s Summer Top Up Instagram post and follow, like and post comments. The chances to enter run through Aug. 11, Aug. 12–Aug. 25, and Aug. 26–Sept. 8. The final entry period begins Sept. 9 and runs until Sept. 22.

Bankrate’s survey found the average one-week vacation has risen 26 percent from 2023, and leisure activities aren’t the only thing that has gone up. Families who want to enjoy their time off visiting a new city and exploring its many attractions are getting increasingly creative to make that happen. With Go City, a lucky few will be able to make their vacation dollars go much further in making lasting memories.
