Book all the REI expert-led wilderness hikes you can handle by day, knowing the comforts of an Airstream or luxury tent are waiting your family at night.
Each hike is manageable for beginners to moderately experienced hikers, with plenty of guidance along the way when needed. Taking advantage of the well-planned hikes and tours is a great way to fully appreciate the wonders of the great, wide-open outdoors of Yosemite without having to stress about planning, mapping out a trail and staying on track. Leave that to the experts.
Day tours tend to last about four–seven hours and include insider information about local wildlife, plant life and park information.
Hikes and tours also include a gourmet lunch to fuel you for the rest of your trek, various on-the-go snacks, water to stay hydrated and daypacks and trekking poles to use. Prices begin at $55 per person.
Guests can arrange transportation to and from home base, AutoCamp, as it is about 45 minutes from Yosemite National Park’s central valley. Private transfer, or Yosemite’s extensive public transit services, will then bring campers to the meeting location for the tour.
Check-in AutoCamp’s luxury digs for the night, with rates beginning at $200 per night. If the kids, or adults, forget anything in their packs, AutoCamp’s clubhouse at the center of camp is fully loaded with showers, luxury bathrooms, shops and swimming pool.
