Family travelers are invited to Fort Myers, Florida, to experience Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach’s new Fins Up! Beach Club.

“Guests are officially invited to Fins Up! Beach Club to soak up the rays while grooving to the sound of live and programmed entertainment, sipping a frozen concoction and enjoying fresh, local fare,” said David Cesario, general manager, Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach. “Whether staying at the resort or joining us with a day pass, guests are sure to be transported into a vacation state of mind at Fins Up! Beach Club.”


The beach club boasts a 15,000-square-foot pool overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and offers direct access to the beach. A large sundeck with lounge chairs and private cabanas surrounds the lagoon pool. Guests may take advantage of poolside food and beverage service, or visit the 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill with 60 bar stools plus additional seating. The Salty Rim debuts soon, offering gourmet hot dogs, pizza and frozen drinks. The beach club is also home to a soundstage for daily live entertainment.

Wristbands are required for entrance to the beach club. Hotel guests receive wristbands upon check-in. Day pass pricing starts around $65 and varies by season.

United Continues Its Global Expansion

That’s not all: United also plans to increase flights to popular worldwide destinations including Hong Kong (HKG); Seoul (INC), South Korea; and Porto (OPO), Portugal. Following the recent agreement to increase flights between the U.S. and Chinese governments, the airline now adds four weekly flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Shanghai (PVG).

Margaritaville at Sea’s “Islander” Makes Maiden Voyage

Family travelers will delight in Margaritaville at Sea’s Islander, which set sail on her inaugural voyage in June 2024, departing from Port Tampa Bay to Cozumel, Mexico, on a four-night journey. The ship boasts 12 decks accommodating 2,650 passengers. The ship will now continue to sail four- and five-night cruises to Key West and Mexico, before venturing to Belize, Jamaica and Grand Cayman on six- and seven-night itineraries in 2026.

Holland America Line and Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center teamed up to offer family travelers a chance to name a rescue moose. Suggestions were accepted on a designated post on the cruise line’s Facebook and Instagram pages through June 23. Holland America Line gives cruise-goers the chance to view Alaska’s wildlife responsibly from its ships and on shore excursions. AWCC rescues injured and orphaned animals, offering them spacious enclosures and quality care.
