Travel Goods

Consider Cloud of Goods the Uber for travel gear. Family travelers can book strollers and other baby and travel gear online, then a vetted local partner delivers it wherever they need it — whether that’s the hotel, the airport or the theme park gate.

The rental marketplace delivers mobility scooters, wheelchairs, strollers, baby gear and more directly to hotels, cruise ports, attractions and vacation rentals in 300-plus cities across 11 countries. The company has completed more than 350,000 deliveries through a network of 600-plus vetted local rental partners.

Founded in 2023 by Punsri Abeywickrema, the company now operates in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas and Greece.

Abeywickrema’s mission for the travel accessibility company is to ensure no one is left behind on a family trip because of age, mobility or the gear they can’t carry. A Silicon Valley veteran with more than 20 years in technology, Abeywickrema held senior roles at LinkedIn, PayPal, Sephora and Oracle before a simple frustration of needing to rent a wheelbarrow for a one-time project led to a vision for on-demand equipment rental. He first explored the idea in 2008 with peer-to-peer startup Rentalic, then launched Cloud of Goods before the COVID-19 pandemic caused the company to collapse in 2020.

But, Abeywickrema rebuilt and funded the relaunch through consulting work and redesigned the business as an asset-light marketplace powered by local rental businesses. Today, Cloud of Goods is profitable, self-funded and the leading accessibility-focused equipment network in travel in many parts of the world.

Visit an Old-Fashioned County Fair in Maine

Celebrate autumn with a family trip to a traditional New England county fair. These annual celebrations of agriculture and country life are filled with sights and activities for the whole family to enjoy, from admiring prize pumpkins and meeting live animals to witnessing horse shows, listening to country music and dancing, and doing craft demonstrations. Most fairs also have carnival rides and hands-on activities for kids.

Best of Both Worlds

Enjoy the best of both worlds when you fly with TAP Air Portugal thanks to the Portugal Stopover program. With the program, TAP passengers, whether traveling for business, leisure or both, can stop in Portugal for up to 10 days at no additional airfare on the way to their final destination. What does this mean for travelers wishing to explore by both land and sea? It means after flying to Portugal with TAP and experiencing the country in an entirely new way, travelers can then embark on scenic river and ocean cruises from  Portugal’s port cities, or fly with TAP to another European destination.
