Family travelers spending time in Riviera Maya, Mexico, cannot miss Xel-Há, a park offering an extensive list of activities, all surrounded by the pure natural beauty of the region. The beginning of fall marks the perfect time to visit the park, with more than 20 unique experiences.

Xel-Há features a great lighthouse with 360-degree panoramic views from the top. Reaching a staggering 118 feet, climb to the top to take photos and admire the Caribbean Sea and Mayan jungle. To descend the lighthouse, go down one of its four waterslides, each spiraling down to a pool of water.
Don’t forget to venture into the park’s river, which flows more than 4,400 feet through the park. Whether it’s swimming, snorkeling or floating downstream in an inner tube, the river winds through a mangrove, allowing all to explore nature to their heart’s content.

Unique to Xel-Há, the Salpichanga consists of walking on a zip line while holding onto a parallel rope. Try to cross the zipline without falling in the water. Want an extra challenge? Have the rest of your family and friends move the ropes to try and knock you down as you work your way to the other side.
The children’s playground allows even the youngest of the family to have fun at Xel-Há. In addition to a wading pool, the playground features a game area, a house with hanging bridges and a small slide with a circuit of lily pads floating in the water.

Snorkeling is a can’t-miss activity in the park, as well. Snorkeling provides an authentic experience of marine flora and fauna. The park recently revolutionized this experience by adding full face masks to provide better visibility and simulate natural breathing while underwater so guests feel more like a fish in water.
You won’t go hungry while exploring and enjoying Xel-Há, thanks to its all-inclusive culinary experiences. Admission to the park includes access to four restaurants boasting a variety of food and drink options. Most of the restaurants’ supplies are purchased from nearby communities to support the local economy.
