With spring right around the corner, everyone has travel on their mind. For most families, driving is a more budget-friendly way to get the whole bunch to a destination. Road trips are an incredible way to make the actual traveling part of travel exciting. The Roadtrippers App makes getting to your destination interactive and fun.
This free app is compatible with iPhone, Android and available on the web. Start by choosing your starting and ending point. The app will create a GPS map so you can follow while you drive. Along the way, the app points out places of interest you can explore. Restaurants, scenic viewpoints, national parks, attractions, historical sites and other unique stops will pop up on your map.
The free version of the app allows you to pick five destinations along the way to create a personalized map on other roads rather than the same major highways. Upgrade to the premium plan for $29.99 and you can select up to150 destinations. This feature allows you to explore new scenery you may have passed by using the pre-downloaded map already installed on your device.
Not sure where to stop? No worries. Roadtrippers has pre-designed travel guides to take you to some awesome destinations. Type in the desired area of your final stop and suggestions on routes will populate. Each full trip includes an estimated travel time, how many miles you will drive and an estimation on how much gas in dollars it will take for the full trip.
Have the itch to get out and travel but not sure where to go? Try this app out and explore somewhere new with your family or friends.
