Seadust Cancun Family Resort

Age Specific / Adult Children

Family-friendly resorts often struggle to come up with amenities that will appeal to adults and kids alike. This year, Seadust Cancun Family Resort is looking to do just that with three new activities on tap.

The 505-room, all-inclusive property in Cancun, Mexico, is debuting a new on-site zip line that spans more than 23 feet in the air and glides over a forest of Caribbean palm trees. The high-adrenaline activity, located in the children’s area of the resort, is available for kids aged 4 to 16 every day, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-7 p.m.

The zip line is the latest addition to the already existing family-friendly amenities, which include a Treasure Island waterpark with toboggans, a mini-golf course and a climbing wall, as well as a nursery, a kids club with free supervised activities and a baby club.

The resort also keeps young guests in mind at its full-service Elegance Spa, which offers a Kid’s Crab Massage for boys and girls, Mommy and Me and Daddy and Me treatments for two, as well as a 90-minute Healthy Kids Healthy Parents Spa Family Ritual treatment during which parents and kids are encouraged to choose the essential oil for their massage, with a little help from the spa therapist.

New this summer is a partnership with the Eminence Organics skincare brand and the Rhea vegan-certified skincare line, whose products are incorporated into the spa treatments.

Also new for the season is a gluten-free menu designed to take the worry away from vacationing families with gluten sensitivities. The resort recently integrated the curated gluten-free menu throughout all 10 of the resort’s restaurants, including the fine dining French restaurant, La Maison de Michelle; the traditional Japanese restaurant, Samurai; and the New York-style restaurant, Manhattan. The property also unveiled the newly renovated Lighthouse restaurant, which serves Mediterranean fare.

The new menu includes breakfast, lunch and dinner options, including gluten-free cereals, pancakes, pizzas, pastas and sandwiches, as well as gluten-free pineapple pie and apple pie.

The 59-square-foot, nonsmoking suite, which can sleep up to five guests, also features a partial sea view from a private, furnished balcony.

Other features include a 50-inch HD Smart TV, a second Smart TV with children’s programming, a coffeemaker, minibar and 24-hour room service. Rates start at $153.62 a night.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes.
