We’ve been talking a lot about Great Wolf Lodge lately because these places are built for families — literally. While they’re already family-friendly locales loaded with a ton of kid-friendly fun and amenities, add in the seasonal excitement and festivities of the holidays and Great Wolf Lodge just became even more difficult to resist.
The lodges break out the snowflakes, sparkles and cheer for the annual Snowland celebration, Nov. 29, 2019–Jan. 5, 2020.
Prepare for all the holiday spirit your family can handle — get ready, because it’s a lot.
Expect a chance of daily snowfall in the lodge’s Grand Lobby, celebrity sightings of Santa Claus and a ton of festive seasonal activities. Escape the cold outside and splash around in the 84-degree indoor water park — all with the white winter theme keeping it seasonal and fun for the kids.
Step into the wonderland of Snowland, enjoying twinkling lights, holiday décor, decorative trees and fun games around the lodge. Walk through the snowy lobby, gathering jingle bells, dancing to holiday music and joining in on some caroling with fellow holiday-loving guests.
New this year, Great Wolf Lodge Polar Bear Plunge invites kids to draw their own polar bear on an “iceberg” and watch it race down one of the waterpark slides.
Another first-time event, Frosty Fest offers complimentary daytime activities, including a Reindeer Antler Toss, a Feed the Snow Monster game and Pin the Nose on Mr. Snowman. At night, families head back to the lobby for the Frosty Fest Family Dance Party.
Sip on warm drinks at the Hot Cocoa Bar in the lobby (parents can add in a little extra spirit in theirs) and stick around for StoryTime later. Visit with Santa and enjoy the general merriment of the lodge, as Snowland varies by each location.
Now, all the seasonal cheer isn’t reserved for the lobby and waterpark — special Snowland Suites will also be decked out in the holiday spirit. For a specially decorated holiday room, book a Snowland Suite and use promotional code SNOWFLAKE.
Snowland activities are included with overnight stays with a few optional additions along the way. Activities vary daily and, based on location, guests can keep it all straight with a complete list of daily activities provided at check-in. Get ahead of the game and download the Great Wolf Lodge app to see the full schedule of events.
Snowland also offers Great Wolf Lodge an opportunity to spread the cheer by partnering with Make-A-Wish to offer special holiday-themed wolf ears. Kids and families can do their part ($2 from each sale goes to the foundation) and wear their seasonal ears (available Nov. 24, while supplies last) at the front desk and Buckhorn retail outlet.
It’s a big task taking on the holidays at Great Wolf Lodge — just don’t forget a swimsuit!
