If it’s been awhile since you’ve taken your family to Great Wolf Lodge, some fun new reasons sprouted that’ll make you want to head to the country’s top indoor waterpark and resort.
To continue the seasonally themed fun held year-round with promotions like Snowland, Howl-O-Ween and Camp-In, Great Wolf Lodge is holding its first-ever Spring Breakout celebration. No matter what your kids’ ages, the fun is blooming with new spring-inspired events and activities through May 3.

Throughout the Spring Celebration, the Grand Lobby is awash with pastels, bouquets of flowers and hanging umbrellas. Throughout the day, it’s also the spot where creative kids can flex their artistic muscles making crafts like handmade flowers, beaded butterflies and dragonflies, butterfly and flower rings and D.I.Y. bug jars. Every evening, guests can participate in a sing-along and mini-dance party, as well as activities like a grasshopper and flower ring toss, beehive bean toss and pin the frog on the lily pad. The nightly Story Time features a new tale called Isn’t Nature Great, during which pajama-clad kids can create a hand puppet and meet the new characters in person. Later in the evening during the Hustle & Howl Dance Party, the Grand Lobby is filled with bubbles while the resort’s Entertainment Ambassadors get families moving during a family-friendly dance party.

In the waterpark, a brand-new Splash & Dash Water Park event lets young guests decorate a spring-themed squishy ball to race down the waterslide. Each day a new child is selected to serve as co-host of this event, helping dump balls down the slide and determining the winner. All Spring Breakout events are complimentary for guests staying at the resort, and a complete list of activities is included at check-in.
What’s more, you can really catch a case of spring fever by booking a Spring Breakout seasonal suite. Design elements include seasonal bedding, themed pillows, pastel décor and a light-up blooming tree. On-site restaurant The Loose Moose and waterpark watering hole Grizzly Rob’s are shaking up spring libations, and you might find fun surprises on the buffet like rice crispy treat nests with chocolate eggs inside.

If you are staying at a Great Wolf location with an Elements Spa, you can slough off dry skin with a massage, facial or body treatment. Kids can book their own special treatments, like a chocolate organic facial or ice cream-themed manicure or pedicure. There’s even a stress-relieving soothing massage just for teens and a facial that addresses a variety of common skin concerns.
Spring Breakout runs until May 3. For more information and booking, check out the website

Jan 8, 2026What is a Salvaged Stay and How to Plan One
Salvaged stays are an emerging trend in travel that let family travelers enjoy a unique way to experience a destination. Rather than staying in a destination’s big-ticket resort hotel or a cookie-cutter vacation rental, travelers look to the world’s repurposed properties, like abandoned mills and defunct train stations-turned-hotels that have found new life. These renovated properties are a lesson in sustainability and give families a chance to discover a unique view of the history of a destination.
