Batalla del Vino in Haro, Spain: June 27–30
Head to the quaint town of Haro, in the La Rioja region of Spain, for a battle of epic proportions: the Mighty Wine Fight. Batalla del Vino, literally translating to wine fight, is celebrated each year when thousands of wine-loving tourists and locals climb a hillside of Haro to throw wine at each other. Once everyone is soaked, head back into town for an all-ages street party honoring St. Peter’s Feast Day. Expect the cobblestone streets to be filled with fun-loving participants, young and old.
