In a rare and remarkable architectural feat, Silversea’s Silver Sprit was lengthened by about 49-feet … down the middle. Yes, apparently a cruise ship can be cut in half and rebuilt with laser-precision. The more than 36,000-ton ship was dissected in half to make way for the all-new midsection placement in an impressive expansion process.
