Multigenerational

Family travelers interested in a tour with less people, look no further than Tauck’s new Smaller Group tours. This tour operator’s new offering will average 15 guests per group, an even smaller average than its Small Group tours of about 24 guests. Tauck’s land tours host 35–44 guests.

“Although a large segment of our guests remain [sic] devoted to our classic group size, we’ve also seen incredible growth in our Small Group departures over the past several years,” said Dan Mahar, CEO, Tauck. “More recently, some of our guests have shown increasing interest in even smaller group sizes. Our market research has zeroed in on an optimal group size of 12-20 among those interested in smaller groups, so our average group size of 15 travelers is right in the center of that sweet spot.”

Tauck will pilot the program through 2024, with 26 departures of seven itineraries in North America and Europe, including tours in Canada, the United States, Spain, Switzerland and Ireland. These tours will be special departures of existing Tauck itineraries.

The program will officially launch in 2025, coinciding with Tauck’s 100th anniversary, and expanding to 124 departures across 12 itineraries in North America, Europe and Africa. The North America and Europe tours will be special departures of existing itineraries, whereas the Africa departures are exclusive to the Smaller Group program.

Booking is currently available for 2024 and 2025 Smaller Group tours.
