The Virgin Limited Edition collection of properties came together to create a unique series of activities tailored for children. The new series will offer kids a taste of worldwide cultures and offer parents a respite with an educational and fun activity to break up the day.
Beginning Jan. 28, the series, every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, will run through Feb. 11 on Instagram at @VirginLimitedEdition. The first episode on Jan. 28 at 3 p.m. GMT will take place in the heart of the South African bush at Ulusaba Private Game Reserve. Kids can learn about amazing African wildlife and conservation. On Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. GMT (all following episodes begin at this time), kids will travel to Kasbah Tamadot in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, learning about the traditions of the local Berber community. Next up, on Feb. 4, is Necker Island, home to exotic and endangered wildlife, as well as resident lemurs. On Feb. 9, kids are again transported to South Africa, to Mont Rochelle Hotel and Vineyard. Head winemaker Dustin Osbourne creates a special tasting for kids with soft drinks and food coloring for an experience to tickle their taste buds. The series wraps on Feb. 11 at Mahali Mzuri with a virtual visit to a local Maasai Village.
“We all understand that home schooling is no easy task, but while it’s so important for children to continue to follow the curriculum, it’s just as important for them to understand the world around us and have a little fun along the way,” said Vanessa Neal, group sales and marketing director, Virgin Limited Edition. “There is much research to suggest that if children are engaged, stimulated, active and busy with a variety of activities then these contribute to their development as much as formal study does. In fact, variety has the added benefit of ensuring youngsters stay motivated and therefore we are incredibly excited to bring to life some of the activities from our incredible properties around the world — all with something fun, but educational for children to enjoy amid these difficult and challenging times.”
Each Virgin Limited Edition property has a dedicated kids club, offering something for every member of the family to enjoy.
