Off the Map Travel’s Glamping in Sweden

Off the Map Travel invites families to explore the Arctic with its Arctic Northern Lights glamping experience, Reconnect under the Aurora. The tour brings visitors to Sweden for a luxurious four-night experience.

The tour is designed for groups traveling together to ensure safety and social distancing. Travelers take part in dog sledding, snowmobiling, a sauna experience and other activities inspired by the local culture. The itinerary offers planned activities and free time.

Day 1

Guests arrive at Luleå Airport and transfer via snowmobile to a lavvu, a luxury teepee, at Aurora Safari Camp. Take part in a moose-feeding experience before settling into the 325-square-foot accommodations complete with a large “aurora window” and wood and automatic fuel burners, perfect for staying cozy while taking in views of the Northern Lights.

Day 2

After breakfast, encounter local wildlife with a reindeer experience. Learn about the local Sami culture over lunch and a sled ride. Once back at camp, enjoy dinner followed by a relaxing evening in a sauna frozen into the lake.

Day 3

Drive yourself on a snowmobile to the next accommodations of the trip, Arctic Retreat. The luxury cabin features private hot tubs and a wood-fired sauna. Kids ages 4–11 may take part in a traditional outdoor bread-baking experience. Kids ages 11–18 learn outdoor winter skills including ice fishing.

Day 4

Go on a dog sledding excursion with your own team of huskies leading the way. The evening is open for relaxation and Northern Lights viewing at the cabin.

Day 5

Check out and enjoy a private transfer to the airport. A trip to UNESCO site Gammelstad Church Town is available, time permitting.
