There is no better place to celebrate the holidays this year than Wailea, Hawai’i. Look to Wailea Beach to witness Santa and his elves emerge from the ocean in a decorated Hawai’ian outrigger canoe stocked full of candy canes, ready to kick off the festivities. Some of Santa’s elves will even surf Hawai’i’s great waves to make their way to shore. The entrance will be nothing short of special as they land on pristine Wailea Beach in front of the Grand Wailea Resort. Kids can meet Santa and take photos with him before he makes his way toward the resort.
The holiday celebrations don’t stop there; however, as Grand Wailea Resort hosts its famous Christmas Market, filled with local vendors and seasonal food and drinks. Also found within the market is a keiki corner, a fun spot for children to decorate their own Christmas cookies and ornaments. Carolers will walk the market and resort grounds singing everyone’s favorite holiday songs.
Grand Wailea will also host a grand Hawai’ian cooking demonstration for guests to watch and later enjoy at some of the on-site restaurants. Live hula performances and musicians will also be present this season.
For parents wanting a little extra fun, Grand Wailea Resort offers Employees Only, an acclaimed domestic and international bar society hailing from New York City. Best known for its seasonal Ginger Smash and popular Mata Hari, guests can try some of these tasty drinks this holiday. Combining elements of a speakeasy atmosphere with classic and holiday cocktails, this pop-up event will grace the resort Dec. 28–31. Employees Only will provide guests with a menu of specially curated cocktails as well as interactive master mixology classes.
