Luxury hotels and resorts elevate pet-friendly offerings in response and, with National Dog Day Aug. 26, here are three properties celebrating canines with amenities and curated experiences

In the rolling hills of Ánimas Bajas near San José del Cabo, Acre Resort’s Acre Dogs is an on-site rescue and adoption program. In partnership with Acre Animal Rescue, hundreds of dogs have been rescued from the streets of Los Cabos since 2017, then connecting them with adopters across North America. Guests spend time with adoptable dogs, walk them throughout the resort’s 25-acre property and learn more about the adoption process. The property is also fully pet-friendly, welcoming guests traveling with their own dogs.
