When traveling to Dubai with your family, you will certainly want to seek out some family-friendly things to do whilst in the United Arab Emirates.

Seek Your Thrills

Watch out, Orlando — Dubai is staking its claim and seeking to become the most exciting adventure playground in the world, appealing to kids and adults. Cartoon Network and Marvel comics characters are the inspiration behind IMG Worlds of Adventure, where rollercoaster fans will want to buckle in for Velociprator, the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in Dubai. Hollywood-inspired adventures await at Motiongate Dubai, where the 27 rides are inspired by more than a dozen action and animation movies, including The Hunger Games. For the little ones, there are play areas and even Shrek’s Merry Fairy Tale Journey. There is something familiar about LEGOLAND Dubai and the accompanying LEGOLAND Water Park, in which to cool off from the heat of the sun. The water park is also the only one designed specifically for kids ages 2-12, and their families.

Let the Creativity Flow

With a mission to “engage and inspire kids” ages 2 to 11, OliOli, the Hawaiian word for joy, invites kids and their families to come and play, play, play. The interactive museum features eight galleries and more than 40 exhibits that encourage kids and their families to get involved, learn and take their sense of wonder with them out into the world. Another spot built for kids is KidZania, where kids can try out their future careers and play dress-up for hours on end.

Hit the Sand

When it comes to going to the beach in Dubai, check out Kite Beach. In addition to its sandy beach from which to swim, stroll and collect shells, there is a skate park, adventure gyms and trampolines to help expend even more energy. Sit back and watch the surfers catch some waves while your kids catch some fun of their own. Or, for a different take on sand, get out into the desert and go sandboarding — similar to skate- or surfboarding on sand dunes! If sandboarding is not quite your family’s speed, perhaps a camel ride across the desert is. That is always an option, too.

However you choose to spend your time in Dubai, chances are you and your family will make memories to last a lifetime.
