Travel Tips

For more than 30 years, Aman has been a leading hotel brand throughout Asia Pacific. In that time, the brand has always kept an eye toward guest experience and offered lifestyle experiences in unique locales. Now, after more than two years of development, a sister brand, Janu, rises with a keen focus on balance and three properties in the Balkans, Middle East and Asia. In addition to these debut properties, a robust pipeline swells with promise for the brand’s future.

The first three properties arrive in Montenegro, Al Ula, Saudi Arabia, and Tokyo. Each property’s design focuses on space and light to offer a distinctly contemporary look. The balance of space and light is designed to entice guests to reconnect with themselves and others. Large guestrooms offer a place of respite and tranquility. Janu means soul, connectedness and greater purpose.

The new brand still has Aman DNA in its functionality, though. Deep commitments to guests, breathtaking destinations, timeless design and impeccable service are at the core of Janu’s mission.

In Janu’s official announcement, the brand argues the art of relaxation is often neglected. The core of Janu’s philosophy is a person should never need to choose between fulfillment and pleasure.

In the actual hotels, social spaces will constantly evolve to offer dining, lounge and bar areas. Hotel leadership promises endless possibilities of new cuisines, crafted cocktails and culinary concepts. The center of the Janu brand focuses on social wellness. The properties look to offer plenty of places for guests to connect and celebrate each moment of life.

Away from the social and public areas, the properties will each feature wellness facilities with cutting-edge experiences and treatments in addition to state-of-the-art equipment.

10 Reasons to Go to Québec City This Summer

The only walled city north of Mexico, Old Québec City is more than a living museum; it’s a vibrant lively place for family travelers to visit and, for kids, it can seem like a mini vacation in Europe. The architecture is distinctly Old World, and French is the predominant language. But, don’t worry, most people also speak at least some English.
