The Verandah Resort & Spa sits on 30 acres of beautiful beaches and, in 2023, the resort plans to shift its pricing strategy to help families book that week-long, relaxing, tropical getaway. The Antiguan resort recently announced an offer for up to $700 off a seven-night stay, with all-inclusive rates starting from $384 per night for two adults, with the first child 11 years old or younger sharing the same room free of charge — a savings of about $100 per night. The offer is available through Jan. 15, 2023, for travel through Dec. 23, 2023.
Featuring a backdrop of lush green gardens, stunning tropical views and a bright turquoise sea, the resort offers an all-inclusive blend of engaging activities, healthy cuisine and relaxing accommodations.
Family-fun activities on the property include ping pong, beach volleyball, tennis and an 18-hole mini golf course. Kids can play all day at the complimentary kids club, offering plenty of outdoor activities, seasonal fun and child-friendly entertainment.
Explore the island’s coastline on a four-person Hobie Cat sailboat or swim in warm waters to see tropical fish and sea life. Go snorkeling, kayaking, pedal boating and stand-up paddle boarding. Even travelers who might be a little wary of trying a new watersport will feel comfortable with the help of the resort’s qualified, friendly staff, ready and excited to see guests succeed and have fun. After a day of fun, head back to the resort to relax and soak up some rays in a water hammock, by the beach or at one of the resort’s four freshwater swimming pools.
Guests who want to explore the area outside the resort can book excursions to historical sites like Admiral Horatio Nelson’s Dockyard. Guests can also zip line through the rainforest or take an island tour with Pink Panther Safaris.

Apr 17, 2025Experience the Night Sky Like Never Before in Oregon’s Outback
I’ve looked up at the night sky almost every night of my life and have always been fascinated by the way the experience changes from day to day and place to place. But on recent family travel to Oregon, I got to experience it like never before in the Oregon Outback. I was staying at the lovely Brasada Ranch in Powell Butte (not far from Bend) and, as the day came to a close, my group boarded a van with Wanderlust Tours and began the journey into a region of the Oregon desert known as the Oregon Outback.
