The Summer of Glass in Asheville, N.C., begins May 17 and runs through Oct. 7, featuring Chihuly at Biltmore, an exhibition in which monumental glass sculptures by artist Dale Chihuly will be found throughout areas of the Biltmore House, gardens and grounds. Complementing the exhibition, a community-wide celebration of glass will be found throughout the city and region with special local exhibitions, demonstrations, tours, workshops and events.

The summer season kicks off in Aruba at the 18th Annual Soul Beach Music Festival May 24–28 with performances by Alicia Keys, Marlon Wayans and other international performers, and the party continues June 29–30 with the Aruba Summer Music Festival.
